12 MÅNADER I NEDERLÄNDERNA

Do you want to do 12 months EVS in The Netherlands for the Loesje?

We are searching for two enthusiastic and creative young people to do European Voluntary Service (EVS) in our organisation Loesje in Arnhem, The Netherlands. EVS is a project of the European Commission and it means you can live for free in The Netherlands, do society-committed work and enjoy life, if you are under 30 (regulations you can read below).
Who is Loesje?
Loesje is an idealistic organisation which aims for a creative society based on own initiative and active citizenship. The objective is to exchange ideas and opinions, to stimulate people to create their own ideas. The medium Loesje mainly uses for that is posters with short but strong texts (one-liners) which shine a different light on a particular subject. Our main activity is to create such posters, together with our members, but also with people from other organisations. The posters are used spread on internet, around the streets, community centres, schools etc. But we also publish books with these texts and some other products as mugs, condoms and t-shirts. The aims of the organisation are to spread black and white text posters that colour life. Create possibilities in which participants of Loesje activities can constantly start and support progressive social initiative.

The Project
The project will start on the 1st of September 2011 and will last until the 31st of August 2012. And it will be a great experience.
At our office you will be working together with Geertje, Jaron, Judith, Luder, Maarten, Meindert and of course many of the other active people of Loesje.
Accommodation is arranged and for free, we have a cosy EVS house where you will live together with the other volunteer. You get money for food and pocket money and a language course. The atmosphere at the office is informal and there is a lot of space to come up with your own ideas. Personal guide will be present during the year but we encourage self-initiative. An active attitude is essential in the work we do.

Project description / Tasks
• Visiting local Loesje-groups, organising, participating in small artistic or social engaged actions with them.
• Graphic design ((lay-out of flyers, posters, and Loesje-products as books)
• Freedom to think of and carry out own creative plans and initiatives.
• Participate in/ organising of members-weekends (discussion, action, fun)
• Helping with the development of the website homepage and updating and innovating it
• Joining weekly poster-textwriting for monthly poster series.
• Organising poster-textwriting workshops for international people (students).
• Contact with eventual international Loesje-groups.
• Making videos/ photos of activities
• Participating in eventual international exchanges.

In all tasks will be a balance between working together and working independently.
When you speak Dutch there will also be other possibilities as tasks, a.o. textwriting with local Loesje-groups, giving workshops to external organisations in The Netherlands.

You can apply now but first read the regulations and selection criteria. If you have questions just ask us, no problem. One advice in case you know the people of the office, what you write to us is very important and not what you believe that we know of you. It's better to write more than to give too less information.

Regulations of EVS:
You are not allowed the be Dutch
You should be between 18 and 30 years old
You should be a citizen of Europe (in the widest sense). If you doubt, ask us!
You should be able to speak English and preferable more languages

Selection Criteria:
* A strong motivation clearly described what you want to do.
* CV and Creative Vitae (what are your creative skills?)
* Able to work independent and develop own ideas.
* Computer skills
* Driving license and able to speak Dutch is a +
* Willing to live with another EVS-er.
* We should believe you will fit in our team
* Because of the strict Dutch immigration policy and bureaucracy, we unfortunately only host volunteer from inside the European Union.

Deadline for applying:
The deadline for applying is the 17st of April 2011.
We will inform you as soon as possible after these dates if you are selected or not.
You can send your application to luder@loesje.nl
And check our website www.loesje.nl or our English / international site www.loesje.org

THE CULTURAL ASSOCIATION FOR THEATRE AND ORIGAMI IN ROMANIA- A.C.T.O.R. IS OPENING THE CALL TO FIND PARTNERS FOR A NEW EVS PROJECT:

“Here, There, Everywhere”
We plan to apply “Here, There, Everywhere” on the 1st of June 2011 deadline to the Executive Agency in Brussels.

Through this project, cultural diversity has a chance to get into the lives of hundreds of Romanian children, with playful activities and creative methods, brought by the EVS volunteers from “Here, There ... Everywhere”, inspired by the childhood folklore from their own culture.

Children with different social backgrounds or from various geographical areas in Romania, as European citizens of tomorrow, will have the chance of an early knowledge of the cultural diversity. This will lead to a realistic understanding of the intercultural universe around them, accepting cultural differences between people and integrating them into their universe of knowledge without stereotypes, becoming like this more tolerant, less tempted by xenophobia.

EVS Youth volunteers from all European countries, but also from Africa, South America and China are invited, through the activities that will take place, to scan their own culture and then to present it in an easy way to the children, making it more attractive and more understandable for the target group. This process brings by itself a powerful and essential form of non-formal learning, because scanning is based on the identities of the volunteers, and it’s made in a way they don’t usually have the occasion to do.

This project continues the experiment of this concept implemented in A.C.T.O.R.’s four other projects: “InterCOOLtural HOUSE”- 2009, “Coloring kids' life” from 2009 to 2010). “Here-There” (“Aici-Acolo”)- 2010-2011, “Diversity”- 2011. Analyzing the success of the projects in the local community in Romania (Ministry of Education, teachers, parents, media and especially children), and also the impact of experiential learning of the volunteers, led to our decision to extend the idea and to involve new cultures.

Each partner will help us select one volunteer. We will select just one partner from each country. The project will run for one year starting December, 2011.EVS sending organizations are invited to apply by sending us the part III, filled, scanned by email and in original by post with signatures and stamps.

Vacancy for EVS Volunteer with less opportunity in Austria
Contact person: [http://www.youthnetworks.eu/ShowPerson.aspx?Person=daniela-fellinger-in-austria]
Daniela Fellinger
Coordinating organisation: [http://www.youthnetworks.eu/ShowOrganisation.aspx?Organisation=grenzenlos]

Host: Kindergruppe BOKU: http://kindergruppen.boku.ac.at/
Location: Vienna, Austria
Deadline: 28/04/2011
Start: 01/09/2011
End: 31/05/2012

Our kindergarten belongs to the University of Natural Resources and
Applied Life Sciences, Vienna. It is frequented by student's children, by
children of the university employees and by children whose parents are
also interested to take part in the kindergartens daily routine.
We have two employees /kindergarten teachers. Additionally, our members-
the children's parents- are actively involved in the Kindergarten and join
excursions as extra support for the staff, supply breakfast, lunch and the
afternoon snack and care about all administrative duties. We are financed
by our membership fee, the university and special charity events to
increase our budget.

In total, 18 children visit our Kindergarten on a regular basis, however
most of them not in a regular routine. The timetables of the children are
very flexible and adaptable to the needs of parents and children, so the
number of children present at the same time in the Kindergarten is very
flexible.

According to this, the philosophy of the Kindergarten is one of very
individual care. The Kindergarten teachers offer activities according to
the wishes and needs of the children: creative activities and sports
activities (both indoors as outdoors) are two focal points of the work of
the teachers and parents with the children.

Vienna is the Capital of Austria and has 1,6 million inhabitants. Located
in the centre of the new Europe and heavily influenced by it's history as
the capital of the Austrian Hungarian Empire, it builds a bridge between
east and west. Many historical buildings offer loads of sight seeing
opportunities, but fortunately Vienna is also influenced by modern times:
it has a lively night life, many opportunities to practice sport and a
large cultural programme.

The kindergarten is situated next to the University of Natural Resources
and Applied Life Sciences in the north western part of Vienna. It is
surrounded by several parks and is within easy reach by public transports.
This project is coordinated by Grenzenlos, which means that the volunteer
will be integrated in the MELANGE programm. This means that he/she will
have the opportunity to meet 25 other foreign EVS volunteers as well as
Austrian returnees. All volunteers will be offered a leisure time
programm, in order to get to know specifics about the Austrian and
Viennese culture. There are monthly meetings in order to offer continuous
fo

Tasks

Proposed Activities for the EVS volunteer The opening times of the
kindergarten are: Monday- Thursday: 8 -16 30 and Friday: 8- 15.30. The
volunteer will be able to eat lunch with the staff and the children. We
would like the volunteer to be present for about 30 hours per week,
additionally, there are regular meeting with the parents and the teachers
to plan the activities- this will take up to 2 hours per week. During the
project, the volunteer will never have the sole responsibility over the
group of children. The exact programme of the week is planned by the
teachers according to how many children are present in the Kindergarten.
As mentioned above, this is flexible, but mostly looks like this: in the
mornings, up to 18 children are present, together with two teachers. In
the afternoon, 6-8 kids are present, with one teacher. If excursions are
planned, at least one parent is present on top of the teachers, in order
to support them. The volunteer will be part of the meetings, in order to
be informed about the planned activities as well as to discuss his/her
ideas and plan them into the programme. Following activities are a fix
part of the programme and vary according to the group size. " Creative
activities like painting, handcraft, drawing etc. " Sports or movement in
general is also part of the programme: there are many parks near the
kindergarten and as many times as possible, if the weather allows it,
trips to the park are organised. In the park there are many opportunities
for games, sports, dance etc. In summer time, trips to the swimming pool
are often organised. If the weather does not allow activities outdoors,
there is the gym in the Kindergarten, where there are many opportunities
for sports and games. " Themes: Many activities are also organised
according to themes and seasons: Christmas, Easter, Autumn etc. But also
special themes like: 'he Indians' or 'the Eskimos' are subject of special
projects. " Events: Then there are small events like for example the
Summer Party - this is a common activity of all parents and children. It
takes place in a member's garden and all members, children and employees
are invited. It´s a saying "good bye" to the past kindergarten year
before the kindergarten closes for its summer holidays. For the volunteer
we would like him/her to give inputs to these activities: for example play
a typical game form his/her

Criteria

A volunteer should in general be interested and willing to work with
children. This is simple the only condition we have for volunteers. No
further experiences or skills are required. ATTENTION!!! This vacancy is
only for EU countries plus Iceland, Norway and Switzerland. It you are
from another country we can unfortunately not accept your application!!!

Procedure

EVS in Italy

InCo is very glad to announce a new selection process for EVS volunteers. This time in our own city: Trento!!! (which allow us to be in a very close contact with the volunteers!). We have 4 placements open for "Civica di Trento", project which deals with elderly people. The project will be presented in the 1st June deadline to the Italian National Agency. Activities are foreseen to start on November 2011 and ends on August/September 2012.

You can read the information available regarding the host organization in the EVS database (but if you have doubts, please contact me!).

I count with your support to disseminate the opportunity! In case you have interested volunteers, please do a pre-selection and send me no more then 2 candidates, ok? It's important that the volunteers is willing to have interpersonal contact and have openess and patience with elderly people.
Previous knowledge of Italian is not mandatory, although it could support the integration. No special skills are required but initiative, willingness to get in touch with people and some creativeness would be quite useful!

Trento is a small city (100.000 inhabitants) but it's the capital of the region (Trentino). It's one of the cities with the highest life quality in Italy (but it's North Italy! we are in the middle of the mountains and not in Rome or Sicily ;-) It's not a bilingual city (as Bolzano, for example) but it has a strong Austrian influence.

Time is short (as always), so please let me know about your candidates until maximum the 11th May. I'll need a CV and motivation letter (the most important thing!) in which the volunteer explains:
- why s/he would like to do a EVS
- why this project
- which are the difficulties s/he think s/he will face
- what s/he expect to learn
- how s/he think s/he could contribute with the project/HO

Dear All,

Mladiinfo in Skopje are looking for volunteers urgently!

About the organization

My name is Ilija Dimitrovski and i am the EVS Coordinator at Mladiinfo ( www.mladiinfo.com). Mladiinfo- FEJS MK is a non-profit organization established in Skopje in 2003 as a local office group of the European FEJS network. Since its founding, FEJS Macedonia organized a number of conferences, seminars and workshops focused on issues, such as: human rights, minority rights, journalism, digital photography etc. Hundreds of young people from all over Europe participated in those events. The organization’s biggest success is the Mladiinfo (www.mladiinfo.com) project currently hosting 5 EVS volunteers. Mladiinfo was founded in 2008 with a mission to bring international opportunities (scholarships, internships, conferences, volunteering) to students in Macedonia but also all around Europe. FEJS Macedonia is a member of two European youth networks, FEJS (www.fejs.org) and Youth Press (www.youthpress.org). Our organization is accredited for both, sending and hosting activities (2008-SI-93).

About the project:

We will apply our EVS project on 01.06.2011, and we are searching for interested people that want to become EVS volunteers at Mladiinfo.
The main goal of the project is to to raise the awareness about various study possibilities available for youth through providing free content overview of all available resources (scholarships, exchanges, trainings, financial aid). Moreover, it gives voice to young people by providing them with the opportunity to be authors of articles and feature stories about experiences they had in formal and non-formal learning. Mladiinfo is an established contact point for the exchange of information, experiences and opinions among youth.

Apart from helping out in terms of daily web content update of www.mladiinfo.com, writing and editing articles and feature stories, the volunteer will be involved in the activities planned to make this student support initiative more helpful and user-friendly. Involvement in the initiation and implementation of upcoming projects is inevitable and included in the activity plans for inclusion of an EVS volunteer.
If there is some interested people that want to join the team of Mladiinfo for the period of 12 months starting from 01.01.2012,

please contact me:

Tjo!
